install Cadence IC 615 on CentOS 6.2: configure status failed

Hi everyone,

I have install Cadence IC Hotfix_IC06.15.171 on my computer: Linux CentOS 6.2 32 bit. But it seem that the Cadence IC does not support for Linux CentOS 6.2 version. Install Scape can install the Cadence but cannot configure. Please take a look at the screenshot and give me advices.

By the way, I would like to ask one more question: I am going to install Cadence IC 5.1.41 and IC 6.1.5 in same computer. Which operating system I should install?

Thank you.

I've never gotten Vrituoso to configure on Centos.  I make sure that the tools directory link is created and I can run Virtuoso.

I have some trouble with text in the CIW and the SKILL IDE but I have not debugged that as it is not a show stopping issue.

If you don't configure the IC installation, it's typically not too critical. Normally when you configure you'd get a terminal window appear. Perhaps you can try:

cd <ICinstDir> # the one you just installed
    sh installData/IC616_lnx86/batch_configure.sh

Note however that CentOS is not a supported OS for any release. See

    Regards,

    Andrew.

I had the same problem for CentOS 6.6. It occurs because xterm is not installed.

    yum install xterm

    solved this problem
