bindkey definition

Is there a better way of defining a bindkey while in a function or not, so when the bindkey is applied it is more global?

I would rather have a single bindkey definition.

Example:

hiSetBindKey("Layout" "Shift<Btn4Down>"           "println(\"Booyaa\")")

hiSetBindKey("Layout" "Shift<Btn4Down> EF"     "println(\"Booyaa\")")

    Paul,

    If you don't have an "EF" bindkey, the standard bindkey will work globally - both in normal and enter function situations. Only if there's an EF bindkey defined will it be used.

    Of course, you could easily write a function which defines both, if you really need it:

    procedure(CCFsetBothBindKeys(app event expression)
      hiSetBindKey(app event expression)
      hiSetBindKey(app strcat(event "EF") expression)
    )

    Andrew.
