wrongly placed Cadence library

I made a mistake to place the linux path of Cadence library.  The correct linux path for library_A should be dir_top/dir_mid/library_A.   However, the wrongly  placed linux path for library_A  is dir_top/library_A     Inside dir_top/library_A, I have cell_A, cell_B, user_1, user_2, cdsinfo.tag, prop.xx    (user_1 and user_2 are NOT part of library_A; they just exist inside dir_top/library_A).   If I use design manager to delete library_A, I am afraid it may also delete user_1 and user_2 directories since the library path name of library_A is dir_top/library_A.     My question is  "Can I just use linux commands to delete library_A by deleting just cell_A, cell_B, cdsinfo.tag and prop.xx?"

Yes, that should work. You'd also need to remove the cds.lib entry too. If you were to delete in the library manager, it would take out the entire directory, which you don't want!

You mentioned "design manager" - not sure if you meant "library manager", or whether you are using a design management solution such as DesignSync DFII, IC Manage, ClioSoft SOS, MethodICs EDA VersIC, or IBM ClearCase - in that case, it would be a bit more complicated because you will have references to it in the vault - you'd have to go through whatever mechanism is needed with those DM tools to delete data from the vault.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
