CDF parameters go away after instance pointer(library/cell name) changes

Hi,

I have a set of schematics for which I need to change the instance pointers to a different library and a different cellname(with prefix changed). I managed to do it by changing master of the instance to the new cell. But, all the CDF parameter associated with the instance went away. Is there a way to avoid this? or is there a better way to change the pointer without affecting the CDF parameters? Thanks,

Regards,

Prakash.

    Prakash,

    Two things:

    1. Does the new cell have CDF parameters defined at all? (Tools->CDF->Edit CDF will show you)
    2. Even if it does, if there are parameters which existed on the old cell but don't on the new, and those parameters were at their default values on the old instance, they will not show up on the new instance (if storeDefault=no on the old cell's CDF for that parameter). If they were at non-default values, or storedDefault=yes, then those parameters would show up as user-defined properties on the instance after the change.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
