Search cell for Hilight objects

How do you search a cell for hilight objects to get their d_figId?

Tried using some these functions to get the hilightset but returns nil.

geGetCurrentWindowHilightSet and geGetCurrentHilightSet

    Paul,

You can only get the hilightSet id using these functions if it was created with geCreateHilightSet (with the notglobal argument set to t) and then pushed using gePushHilightStack(). Since it's not necessary to push the hilight set in general onto the stack, you normally can only get the hilight set id if it was recorded somewhere.

Even if you have the hilight set id, you can only find the dbId of the objects if geAddHilightFig was used - because only this has the link to the figure being highlighted. Using geAddHilightRect (for example) doesn't require a figure.

Is it really a hilight set you are after, or is it probed instances? (probes and hilights are different things).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
