[Q] Customize descend function

Hello everyone,

Good afternoon!

We have a job that needs to restrict the user to descend on some specific instance in the schematic.

We have inspect the behavior of the function "schHiDescendRead()"
Is there a function that can replicate the enter function of "schHiDescendRead()" that everytime we press the <Key>e button it will ask the user "Point an instance to descend into".

The main point is we will create a customize enter function that ask the user to select an instance. Then after the user select an instance, The customize enter function will return a list of selected instance?

Hoping anyone can help us.
Thank you.

Try mouseSingleSelectPt() to select the object that the user clicks on. You will have to control the selectivity so they can only select instances. gePointToFig is also useful as is other geSelect... commands.
