SKILL code for ocean script for implementing modulus function involving floating point numbers

Hi,

I am trying to write an ocean script using SKILL code to run some simulations in Cadence.

Specifically, to determine the magnitude of aliased harmonics in a sampling system, I am trying to use the modulus function.

How can I implement something like 10%3.1 in SKILL? The mod function only allows for use of integers (e.g. mod(10,3) gives 1), however I have a set of numbers (frequencies) that are floating point.

Any helps/hints would be appreciated.

modf() is the function you're looking for.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

Thank you, is there a manual or a document where I can find this function? The latest version I have for the SKILL reference is from 2003.

    Thanks for your help.

    Regards

    Deeksha

    Hi Deeksha,

If you have access to Cadence online support then you can access all of the documentation, here's a link for the modf() function.

    Hopefully this helps?

    Regards,

    Lawrence.

The documentation is also in every installation - so in <ICinstDir>/doc/sklangref/sklangref.pdf .

The modf() function was added in IC616, I believe. However, it's trivial to write your own:

    procedure(CCFmodf(a b)
      a-b*round(a/b)
    )

    Regards,

    Andrew.

Yes this helps, thanks Lawrence. I'm still new to the website, and wasn't sure where to look.

Thanks Andrew. I was able to write my own code but I was hoping (as Lawrence pointed out) that there would be an updated reference manual somewhere.
