Drop down parameter selection for pCell

Hi,

I want to create a pcell with one of the parameter as "metal layer" with default metal layer as metal1. How can I create a drop down menu for this parameter selection while creating an instance of this cell? I don't want to use CDF.

Thanks,

Shahbaz

    Hi Shahbaz,

The only way of creating a cyclic field for a parameter is to use CDF. Why don't you want to use CDF? This is the kind of thing CDF is intended for!

    Regards,

    Andrew.

Thanks Andrew. I am new to SKILL, so wanted to complete it with minimum number of SKILL feature. Can you suggest some sources for learning pCell and SKILL++. Thanks

The "minimum set of features" is SKILL (in a PCell) and CDF. Here's one PCell example including CDF, also the documentation (e.g. the pcDefinePCell function). You probably don't need SKILL++

    Hopefully this helps,

    Lawrence.
