Getting cell view information in library manager

I'm trying to create a new drop down option for when you right click on a cell view in the Library Manager. How do I get the info (library, cell, view) of the selected cell view using skill so I can pass them on to other functions? .

This is covered in the documentation. There are a couple of places that cover this - one is the Cadence Library Manager User Guide and the other is the Cadence Application Infrastructure SKILL Reference. The first can be found in cdnshelp under Cadence Shared Tools, and has a chapter on Customizing the Library Manager. The second seems to be under Virtuoso Layout Suite  in the version I checked, but can easily be found by searching for "abShowAllCheckOuts" which will find the section on the relevant SKILL functions and some (rather elderly) examples that I wrote as part of my original application note that the documentation is based upon.

The docs can also be found at <ICinstDir>/doc/libManager/libManager.pdf and <ICinstDir>/doc/caiskill/caiskill.pdf .

The general principle is that you perform the menu customisation in a file called cdsLibMgr.il and then have associated callbacks defined in Virtuoso via the .cdsinit which act on the menu choices. These callbacks will then be given whatever was selected in the library manager.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
