How to Add bitmaps to forms

archive
archive over 18 years ago

Hi ALL,

I need to check a few things in our project setup. If there is a problem, I want to bring
up a warning form (e.g. hiDisplayAppDBox), that lists the corrective actions.
Normaly users just click and don't read. So to make it a little fun,
I would like to add bitmaps to the form.
Does anyone know, how to do that?
Can that be done at all?

Thanks,

Britta

    You can create a regular app form (hiCreateAppForm) and add some custom buttonIcons.

    hiCreateButton(
    ?name 'upButton
    ?buttonIcon _UP
    ?callback println("up")
    )

    procedure(InitArrowIcons()
    let((upString ColorArray)
    ColorArray = hiCreateColorArray()
    ColorArray[0] = hivBackgroundColor
    ColorArray[1] = hivTopShadowColor
    ColorArray[2] = hivBottomShadowColor
    ColorArray[3] = hivForegroundColor
    ColorArray[4] = hivRecessColor
    ColorArray[5] = hivForegroundColor
    ColorArray[6] = hiMatchColor(list( 746 746 730))

    upString = "\
    aaaaaaaaaaadaaaaaaaaaaa\
    aaaaaaaaaadddaaaaaaaaaa\
    aaaaaaaaadddddaaaaaaaaa\
    aaaaaaaadddddddaaaaaaaa\
    aaaaaaadddddddddaaaaaaa\
    aaaaaadddddddddddaaaaaa\
    aaaaaaaaaadddaaaaaaaaaa\
    aaaaaaaaaadddaaaaaaaaaa\
    aaaaaaaaaadddaaaaaaaaaa\
    aaaaaaaaaadddaaaaaaaaaa\
    aaaaaaaaaadddaaaaaaaaaa\
    aaaaaaaaaadddaaaaaaaaaa\
    aaaaaaaaaadddaaaaaaaaaa"

    _UP = hiStringToIcon(ColorArray upString 23 13)
    ) ; let
    )
