hiGetBannerMenus Error When Running Corner Sims with ADE XL

Hello, I'm trying to run corner sims using ADE XL, similar to this:

http://wikis.ece.iastate.edu/vlsi/index.php/Simulations_using_ADE_%28G%29XL#Corner_Simulations_using_ADE_XL

My jobs never run.

The log mentions this error:

\o Loading AMS.cxt
\e *Error* Error during configuration of remote session.
\e ("hiGetBannerMenus" 0 t nil ("*Error* hiGetBannerMenus: argument #1 should be a window type (type template = \"w\")" nil))
\e
\e
\o
\o *Error*   Error ID  = 5000
\o *Error*   Error Msg = Error while configuring the job.

My guess is that you have some customisation in your .cdsinit which is calling hiGetBannerMenus and that's failing.

You can try a couple of things:

    1. In your .cdsinit put: envSetVal("adexl.icrpStartup"  "binaryName" 'string "virtuoso -nocdsinit")
This may or may not be appropriate, because if you are dependent upon some custom function (e.g. calculator function, or third-party simulator integration), then that won't work.
    2. Bracket the customization code that is problematic in the .cdsinit with:
      unless(axlIsICRPProcess()
        ;; do the customisation

    Regards,

    Andrew.
