Delete/disable a sub menu item

Hi,

There are a set of preloaded menus and I want to gray/disable one of the sub-menu item. This is a sub menu item something like

Virtuoso Layout -> Utils ->Tools -> MoveViaBy0p1. I tried using hiDisableMenuItem( utils 'Tools ). This disables 'Tools menu but there are other sub menus in here which should remain enabled. How do I disable  'MoveViaBy0p1 sub menu ?

Also, is there a way I can find out the preloaded menu names/menus loaded from my cadence session ?

Thanks,

Veena

    Veena,

    That presumably is a custom menu in the first place (since the Utils menu is not one of Cadence's). Anyway, you can find out the menus in your window by calling:

    hiGetBannerMenus(hiGetCurrentWindow())

    having found the name of your variable for the starting pulldown menu (sounds as if you have that already, utils) then you can inspect the menu items within that list:

    utils->_menuItemList

    In your example, that was probably Tools. So you can then get to the slider menu:

    utils->Tools->hiSubMenu

    For this you can also find ->_menuItemList - so if that showed MoveViaByOp1 you'd do:

    hiDisableMenuItem(utils->Tools->hiSubMenu 'MoveViaByOp1)

    Regards,

    Andrew.
