"None of the properties 'lastSchematicExtraction' or 'syLastExtraction' was found" problem

Dear Sir/Madam

I am trying to do the post simulation after layout extraction using caliber.

When I create the netlist, there is a  error which shown as follows:

ERROR: Netlister: can't find the date lib_dir/circuit1/calibre was last extracted. None of the properties 'lastSchematicExtraction' or 'syLastExtraction' was found.

I've checked and saved both schematic and calibre view but still same error. The Calibre view a "layout"  type view, in fact I also tryed "schematic"

view, but both results are same.

And I find this error maybe comes from the extraction error.  Because when I finish the layout extraction, there is one error messenge:

Error: dbCreateConnByName: argument #1 should be a database object (type template=”ddt”) - nil

With this error, when I try to do schematic post simulation, can not generate the netlist.

Could you please help me? Thank you so much ^-^

It sounds as if the Calibre extracted view creation code is hitting a problem and not completing, and hence not marking the connectivity as up to date. Since creation of that view is part of Mentor Graphic's code, you should contact them in order to understand why this is breaking. (Calibre is from Mentor Graphics rather than Cadence - they're interfacing to Virtuoso, but the bit that is breaking sounds as if it is in their code).

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew.

Thank  you very much. I will contact to Mentor Graphics.

In fact, I tried this method:

    "

You can probably workaround it by opening the calibre view, and typing:

    dbSetConnCurrent(cv=geGetEditCellView())
    dbSave(cv)

    "

After do this, the netlist can be generated, but the post simulation result is very strange, totally different from the pre-simulation.

I will contact with Mentor, and find the root cause of the problem.

Thank you very much. Have a nice day ^-^

That workaround is risky because if the view creation failed part way through, there could easily be components missing - so all you're doing is fooling the netlisters into allowing it to netlist an incomplete view.

    Regards,

    Andrew
