Read Only Cell-Create text in hiligt/marker layer text

I would like to write a skill code  which can create text   in the layout  using  highlight layer / marker error layer[layout will be in read mode] . The text whatever I created should disappear once I close the layout.  Can I use dbCreateMarker() to do this ?

 My layout is in read mode . So I cannot directly edit the labels in the layout.I am using IC6.1.64b.500.12. This is the piece code I tried :-

labels = "My Test Text"

marker_id=dbCreateMarker(cv "OK" "OK" list(0:0 10:10) labels t t annotation "LOW")

dbAddObjectsToMarker(

marker_id

labels

)

But above code failed to show text in layout. Please help me.

    This isn't going to work. The fifth argument to dbCreateMarker, and the second argument to dbAddObjectsToMarker are expected to be a list of database objects to associate with the marker.

    Whilst you can add markers to readonly cellView (they modify the cellView in memory, but those changes won't be saved), I don't think it's what you want. You probably want to use geCreateHilightSet and geAddHilightLabel. These are completely transient highlights on the view (you have to remember to enable the hilightset to be able to see it BTW).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
