dbGetOverlaps error

San

Hi,

I am trying to get which label is associated with which instance in schematic view. I could not find any direct function or way to find if label is associated with particular instance or not. So I am trying to use dbGetOverlaps function to check what shapes(labels) overlaps my instance bBox.

If I do following then I am getting error of too few arguments 2 expected and 0 given.

foreach(box cv~>instances~>bBox

overlapShapeList=dbGetOverlaps(cv box list("wire" "label"))

)

But if I save bbox of an instance in a variable (say A) and use that individually in function then it works.

overlapShapeList=dbGetOverlaps(cv A list("wire" "label"))

Why don't function work in loop ?

Please guide.

Thanks
Sanket

    Sanket,

    Your code must be different from that which you've posted, because that code works, and also can't possibly give that error. Check the spaces in your code - or post the actual code you're using and the actual error message that got reported (you only reported a bit of the error message - didn't even say which function had the problem).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
