lceHiExtract (non-menu Skill API comparable)

I am using the Cadence VXL tool. There is a function called "lceHiExtract" that brings up a form that I use to "Extract Layout" for the current cellview.

Is there a non-menu version (a skill API) that I could tie to a bindkey? (that will extract the current cellview's connectivity without having to use the GUI).

I am using version IC6.1.6-64b.500.13.2 and also IC6.1.7

    Hi,

I think lceExtract() is the function you want. The "Hi" in a function name stands for Human Interface and generally invokes an interactive command; sometimes there is an API that is non-Hi 'equivalent' typically with a similar name, as in this case lceExtract <-> lceHiExtract

Hopefully this 'teaches you to fish' a little but also answers your question?

    Regards,

    Lawrence.
