Use mouse to select an instance during a procedure

In the middle of a procedure I want to select an object in the layout, hit enter, and continue with the procedure. I want to do a geGetSelSet() on the selected items.

Is there a procedure to do this kind of action?

  • The easiest way to achieve this is to use an 'enter function' such as enterPoints() or enterBox() to provide a way to enter and collect the selection from the design window and you can use the enter function callback/ flow of control to perform the next action(s) once the selection is complete. The enter function provides the capability so that a function can be called when each point is entered, delete and for when the points are done being entered, for example (for the enterPoints() function, for example).
