spiceIn cannot use TSG files

spike

Hello

It appears that spiceIn always exit with the following error:

(CONN2SCH-8): The parameter tsg_files := "my/tsg/file/name" specified in the parameter file is incorrect. Refer to the documentation for the correct parameter list and give the command again

This is so regardless of the contents in the file specified, An strace of spiceIn indicate that this error is thrown without even trying to opening the file.

Perhaps the GUI, error message and documentation should be updated to clearly state that TSG files are not supported?

Kind regards

This was supposedly implemented in IC615 (although with GUI support only - it seems to be written out by the template as '-- tsg_files := "my/tsg/file/name" ' (with the "--" sequence at the beginning, which is a bit odd).

Anyway, it doesn't appear to work even if those rules are followed. I filed CCR 1599906 for this (to get it fixed). It may be intentional that it's specified as "-- tsg_files" but either way, it doesn't seem to work currently (I tested IC616 ISR14 and IC617 ISR4).

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hello Andrew,

I think the the "--" sequence at the beginning defines a comment. I my test case I removed the "--" sequence.

    Kind regards,

    Martin

    Hi Martin,

Yes, I agree, the "--" looks like a comment. However, the template saving from the UI inserts the "--" and restores the file when you load the template if the -- is present. This might be something to do with the fact that it is supposedly only supported from the UI (although I can't see it working from the UI either).

You might want to contact customer support and request a duplicate of the CCR I filed so it can be tracked as being associated with a real customer.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
