Use dbMoveFig to move a MPP between different cellviews

If a use dbMoveFig to move a MPP inside the same cellview, it works fine. If I use it to move the MPP to a different cellview however, only the main path is moved, and it is converted to a regular path. All the subparts are lost. What causes this behaviour?

I also tried dbCopyFig instead, but it gives the same result.

This is currently not possible, as described in this support.cadence.com article. There's a CCR for this too (mentioned in the article).
