How to ignore number of finger comparison while running LVS.

Hi,

I am using Assura for LVS. I am getting parameter error because i have not maintained the number of fingers same as in schematic.

I want to ignore the number of finger comparison & i want the tool to compare only the total width. The only way i am able to do this is by manually editing schematic & changing the width to total width.

I am presently working on 500nm node & usually there used to be a switch in assura called "SKIP_MOS_MI_COMPARE" when working on other nodes which is not there in 500nm.

Below are the switches presently available in LVS FORM.

HPO2RES_1K

HPO2RES_2K

HPO2RES_3K

MOM_2T

MOS_D/S_TO_PW/GD_CHECK

NON_ZERO_DELTAW_DELTAL

RES_T3

THICK_TOP_METAL_3UM

WELL_TO_PW/GD_CHECK

Is there any other way where in i can ignore the number of fingers & compare only the total width.

Thanks,

Girish

The names of the switches and what they do is completely a function of how the rules have been implemented in a particular technology - it's not a feature of Assura itself.

Whether a particular set of rules supports combining the number of fingers into a total width depends on those rules - you should contact the PDK/rule deck supplier and ask them. It would always be possible to modify the LVS comparison rules to implement this, but that's something I can't give a recommendation on because it depends on how they have been implemented for that particular technology (and you didn't mention the technology either).

So I would suggest you first check with the PDK supplier (obviously checking the documentation first), and after that, contact customer support (it's hard to give advice about modifying LVS rules for a particular technology in an open forum without breaking non-disclosure agreements, so we can't really do that).

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew.
