Reflecting test setup from OCEAN to ADE-XL GUI without running simulation

Here is the background for why I am trying to do what I am trying to do.

The following is using ADE-XL GUI:

I have a test-bench setup in ADE-XL with numerous tests. Each tests have a few analysis, such as S-Parameter, DC, Transient and so on. Each test also has several variables.

Most tests have common variables with different/same values. Also S parameter analysis has a result save option enabled to get S-parameter results in touchstone format.

Now sometimes I need to change variables and their values, since there are so many tests and although they share common variables, it takes long time to make these changes for each test using GUI.

So, I decided to try and use OCEAN script for this.

I opened ADE-XL GUI, made changes needed for a test and using the drop down in GUI saved the OCEAN script, so this script essentially doesn't have a run command but just the setup change needed.

After this I opened the OCEAN script using a text editor and copied over the change from one test case to all the test cases using Find and replace option. Saved the script.

I loaded the script through CIW window, it ran successfully and also did netlist. Since I had no 'run' command to run simulation in the script and only set-up the test cases I expected to see these changes reflected back in GUI.

I expected that when I re-open the ADE-XL GUI, all the changes for all the test-cases I had done in OCEAN script would be reflected back in this GUI window. But it hadn't.

Hence my question is there a command to reflect the test case setup changes made from OCEAN script to ADE-XL GUI, without running the simulation itself?

I couldn't find such a command nor could find a similar issue anywhere yet.

I am using cadence Virtuoso version IC6.1.6-64b.500.14.
