Resize Window

archive
archive over 17 years ago

Hello,

Is it possible to resize a window in cadence with skill?
This is what I have now:

windowsid = hiGetCurrentWindow()
hiResizeWindow(window(windowid) list(0:0 1400:1050))

The problem is that the hiGet function resends the string: window:19
and the windowid needs to have 19 instead of window:19.

Somebody who can help?

Thnx!
Steven

    You can pass the return value of hiGetCurrentWindow() directly to hiResizeWindow. hiGetCurrentWindow() returns a window Id, and that's what the resize window is expecting. The window() function is used to convert window _numbers_ to window Ids, and so is not needed here.

    Perhaps it's because you have windowsid on the first line, and windowid (no s) on the second?

    In other words, doing:

    windowid = hiGetCurrentWindow()
    hiResizeWindow(windowid list(0:0 1400:1050))

    should do the job.

    Andrew.
