Question About hiSetCurrentField and IC6.1.7

Hi, I having an unexpected issue with the function hiSetCurrentField when we update from IC6.1.6 to IC6.1.7.
In IC6.1.6 when I called hiSetCurrentField in a float field all the writable field became selected and ready to be edited, but in IC6.1.7 it only puts the cursor at the back of the field.
Let me put some pics to illustrate.

Is there any way to emulate or fix in the IC6.1.7 in order to have the same behavior as in IC6.1.6?
