Cadence IC617 and i3 window manager

I recently found out about the i3 window manager https://i3wm.org/
it is a tiling window manager (workspaces come into the picture too)

I was wondering if anyone has any experience using it with Cadence (I'm currently on IC617)? Is it difficult to manage it? Does it need any integration with SKILL within Cadence?

What do you generally think about using something like that with Cadence Virtuoso for example?
I personally haven't tried it with Cadence, but I would like to check it out since I am a bit annoyed with having to manually resize and/or move many windows around when I'm doing my projects...

I expect it will work OK - we typically don't have to do anything in the tools to support specific window managers. I have no experience of using this window manager (maybe somebody else does though).

However, we only test with KDE and Gnome - so if you hit issues, it's not something we can easily "support". However, as I said, generally any issues with a particular window manager are down to that window manager...

    Regards,

    Andrew.
