Plotting to same or different y axis

archive
archive over 17 years ago

I am trying to generate some plot from an OCEAN script.
The problem is that the data automatically put in different y axis.
This is not good for me because I'd like to have all in one axis to compare the different curves.
How can I do that?

I thought that yNumber could do the job but doesn't:

----------------------------------------
selectResult("noise-noise")
out = getData("out")**2;
M1_fn = pv("OA.M1.m1" "fn")
M1_id = pv("OA.M1.m1" "id")
M3_fn = pv("OA.M3.m1" "fn")
M3_id = pv("OA.M3.m1" "id")
M6_fn = pv("OA.M6.m1" "fn")
M6_id = pv("OA.M6.m1" "id")
plot(out ?expr '("out") ?yNumber '(1))
plot(M1_fn ?expr '("M1:fn") ?yNumber '(1))
plot(M1_id ?expr '("M1:id") ?yNumber '(1))
plot(M3_fn ?expr '("M3:fn") ?yNumber '(1))
plot(M3_id ?expr '("M3:id") ?yNumber '(1))
plot(M6_fn ?expr '("M6:fn") ?yNumber '(1))
plot(M6_id ?expr '("M6:id") ?yNumber '(1))
------------------------------------------------------

I also would like to be able to do the opposite, i.e. to send the plot to the y axis I want, I and to specify the the type (logarhtymic or linear). How can I do that?

By now I could only set the log scale for all by calling
-------------------------------
awvLogYAxis(window 1 t)
awvLogYAxis(window 2 t)
awvLogYAxis(window 3 t)
awvLogYAxis(window 4 t)
--------------------------------
But this is quite inconvenient.

I read the documentation but could not understand how to perform this simple task.
I actually have not clear how the y-axis works....

Thanks.
