How do I run an OCEAN script from ADE/ADE XL GUI

Hi,

I was wondering if there is any way of loading an OCEAN script into the ADE/ADE XL GUI and running it as one would run an saved state. I understand that this might be an unusual request, but I need it to be able to modify an ADE state by exporting it as an OCEAN script and then hopefully reload it into the ADE (/XL) GUI and run the simulation. In other words, is it possible to convert an OCEAN script into an ADE (/XL) state, assuming it has all the necessary ingredients?

I am using Virtuoso 6.1.6-64b.

Thanks in advance

Sort of, but I doubt it's what you want. If you have an OCEAN XL script (note, it needs to be an OCEAN XL rather than OCEAN script), and then run that script - it will create a history item in the adexl view. If you then find that history in the data view assistant, and do Right Mouse->Load Setup to Active, it will use whatever settings were in the script.

However, the tests will no longer be editable using the forms - you'll find that each test is just an OCEAN script representing all the settings for each analysis. This is why I suspect it's not what you want...

The problem is that going from a more-general language description of the simulation setup to the more-constrained UI setup isn't really feasible.

Of course, I may have completely misunderstood what you're trying to do!

    Regards,

    Andrew.
