Access to the DRC markers.

Hi all!

I understand, that this question has already been raised several times. But I could not find the answer.

A lot of time we need to have access (or transfer to the layer or have access to the coordinates) to the DRC error markers after Assura, PVS or Calibre check.

But no any *hilight functions or another skill function doesn't help.

Can anyone help how to solve this problem?

I'll to try to clarify my question.
I want to start some script after DRC check, which create polygon in special layer which will over/(fully coincident) with DRC error markers.

I can't answer for Calibre because that's not a Cadence tool and so I don't have access to it to check. However, in general physical verification tools have the ability to output error markers to stream (GDS) format. Dracula had this, Assura has this (via the ?outErrorLayers avParameter RSF setting), PVS has it and I suspect Calibre will too.

It would also be possible in Assura (say) and I'm sure PVS to write your rules to directly output OA layers.

In addition, PVS offers this choice:

If you do that, the markers can be seen in the annotation browser, and also the geometries found using cv~>markers

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Andrew, thx. for your answer.

But could you pls. clarify for me.

I try to start Assura with "?outErrorLayers avParameter". In result I have DRC error markers. but when try to get DRC marker through cv~>markers I have "nil" in result.

    There is my screen-short

In Calibre we can take all needed coordinates in  Calibre .rdb file.

But for Assura, *.err file contains only markers bbox instead shape coordinates.

I said that it was PVS that output markers for use in the annotation browser, not Assura. For Assura using the ?outErrorLayers t setting, it would save the markers into an stream file in the Assura run directory. This will be called (for example) mydesign_err.gds.

You can then stream that in to a new library (note the cell name is the same as your top cell) and the layer numbers don't correspond to original layers in the database, but it does contain all the geometries for the error markers.

    Andrew.
