Instance does not give cdf parameter to fill in

Hi, I am trying to use pPar to import R value eg. into the schematic from the symbol instance. After I did cdf edit etc as instructed then I instantiate the symbol but it does not have a box for me to fill in the value....please advice.

Also in cdf edit when I click add button it does not pop up something as I see from many threads, it is like the one below :

    You have added the CDF parameters as buttons, whereas they should be strings. In the Edit CDF form (make sure you are setting the "Base" CDF rather than "Effective" CDF otherwise it won't get saved to disk), in the rows for each parameter, there is a column called "type". Click in that and change it to a "string" type. You'll also need to set parseAsCEL and parseAsNumber to "yes".

    Alternatively delete these two parameters, and then open up the schematic where you're using these pPar variables. If you then type in the CIW:

    artGenerateHierSymbolCDF(geGetEditCellView())

    it should update the CDF to include the additional parameters which are used.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
