How to check the XL status using SKILL

Hi,

Is it possible to use SKILL for checking following things:

  • Is a layout instance bound?
  • Is the correct master used in layout?

Assuming you're talking about Virtuoso Layout Suite XL, then you could use bndGetBoundObjects. That could be passed a schematic instance (or a layout instance) and it will tell you which objects on the other side it is bound to (if any) and then presumably you could check these are the "correct master" (I guess you need to determine what you mean by the correct master).

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

That bndGetBoundObjects command need Layout XL to be launched. Is it possible to find the bounding instance just with the database without opening Layout XL.

My concern is that I need to go through hierarchically. So I don't want to open all the layout in XL mode.

    thanks

    Rather than calling bndGetBoundObjects(object) you'd do lxRunCmdInVXL(cvId 'bndGetBoundObjects list(object))

    Regards,

    Andrew.
