schematic PCELL : connecting a port of and arrayed Instance to a single terminal

Hi,

I tried to find an answer but could not find an exact answer so asking it here.

I have a simple pcell code where there is an arrayed instance "i0<10:1>" where one of the ports "MINUS" is connected to terminal "vssx" directly. (all MINUS terminals essentially shorted to vssx)

In a normal schematic I can just draw a wire between the two and it automatically connects them.

But when I try to do it in pcell code with dbCreateConnByName it give me this warning

*WARNING* (DB-270000): dbCreateConnByName: Net width does not match instance/terminal width.

and I dont see that connection happening in the design.

Does anyone know how to connect them using SKILL ?

Thanks,

Mihir

    Mihir,

You'll need to create a net (e.g. with dbCreateNet) called "<*10>vssx" and then connected to that. This happens behind the scenes in the schematic editor, but in a schematic pcell you have to do it yourself.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

    Thanks !!
    It worked.

I realize now if I check and save such name is generated in the properties window for the net wire.

    Thanks,
    Mihir
