Snap to edge feature

I want to implement the snap to edge feature (like the Ruler snap target or Quick align snap edge feature) for one of my project. Is there any inbuilt function for that? If no, how can I implement it?

Dibyaranjan - if you mean is there a way to provide the same visualisation - then the answer is that there's no public way to do that. It would need an enhancement request to provide a public API to enable this.
