Regarding point selection

Hi,

Is there any way to select point in layout by using function in virtuoso.

For your clarification it may be the reverse function of enterPoint.

Thanks,

Ganesh.

    Hi Ganesh,

Well, there is geSelectFig(), geSelectFigNoFilter() [ignores any selection filter in place], geGetPotentialSelection() and a few other functions to either select a figure (shape, instance, via ...) or find out what might be selectable at a location. Also there are functions such as dbGetOverlaps(), dbProduceOverlap(), and dbProduceOverlapInst() as well as the db.*Query family of functions to 'look' at a point to see what is under it (selectable or not).

Hopefully these will get you started?

    Best regards,
    Lawrence.

It's not that clear what you want - perhaps you want geSelectPoint() or geAddSelectPoint()?
