what's the SKILL function to open a layout view in read-only mode?

Currently I am working with voltus-fi tool in Virtuoso, and I am using the SKILL command: vsaOpenLayout( "test_library"  "designA"  "layout") to open a layout, but it always tries to open in Edit mode

What's the command to open in Read-only mode?

Thanks!

    This is what I use

cellWid is the window size or window coords

deOpenCellView(lib cell "schematic" "schematic" cellWid "r")

deOpenCellView(lib cell "layout" "maskLayout" cellWid "r")

Paul's suggestions will open a layout cellView in read mode, but doesn't do the Voltus-Fi initialisation afterwards. Unfortunately there's no public API to do that. The vsaOpenLayout function will open the layout in readonly but only if it's readonly on disk.

I would suggest you contact customer support to file an enhancement request for an optional argument to be added to vsaOpenLayout to control the access mode.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
