Auto-via function using skill

In the layout editor the auto-via function lets me define a rectangle and the system will fill the region with vias for me.

Is there any way to call this through skill?

I've found dbCreateViaShapeArray but it doesn't look like it uses the standard vias found in the technology file.

In IC617 you have viaGenerateViasInArea (there are a whole bunch of via.* functions in fact) - this was added during an IC617 ISR.

In older versions you have the lxComputeViaParams but this doesn't quite do the same thing. The new via.* functions are really what you want.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
