Get Run Mode of Previous ADE-XL Simulation using SKILL

Hello,

I am trying to retrieve the Run Mode (e.g. "Single Run, Sweeps and Corners", "Monte Carlo Sampling", etc.) of a simulation that has completed. There is a function axlGetCurrentRunMode() but it fulfills this task for the current Setup and not for older runs. Is there a similar function that can get the Run Mode using the results DB or previous history?

Any hints would be highly appreciated.

Best regards,
Karam

    Karam,

    No, that function works for either the active setup or a previous history checkpoint. You'll see in the documentation that it even gives an example of doing precisely this! If using iC617, you can use "cdsFinder" to find the quick help for axlGetCurrentRunMode and then click on the "More Info" button which will take you to the full documentation for the function.

    Quite simply:

    sess=axlGetWindowSession()
    hist=axlGetHistoryEntry(sdb "MonteCarlo.0")
    ckpt=axlGetHistoryCheckpoint(hist)
    axlGetCurrentRunMode(ckpt)

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hello Andrew,

    I was not aware of History Checkpoints. Works like a charm! Thank you for your handful of magic this morning.

    Best regards,
    Karam
