SKILL to walk library looking for dependency

pmason

Had an issue where a reference cell in a design was created with dependency on another library that was not in the path.

Would like to create a check to search all the cell views for and dependency.

Can this be done?

    Paul,

See the code in this post or this older post. Note, I just updated the abNewLibraryRefs code in both because I realised there was a buglet which meant they wouldn't have worked in OA-enabled versions of Virtuoso. There's also abLibraryRefs which works by using the db functions to traverse the hierarchy.

The dependency property could be accessed via dbOpenBag - but I'm not sure how reliable it is (it's only added for some views - I think by the schematic checker, but I've not really looked at that recently).

I see you also asked this to some folks at Cadence too...

    Regards,

    Andrew.
