How to select objects under visible VUE markers?

Hi,

I am using synopsys ICV for validation, and synopsys VUE for loading error markers. Is there a way to select a particular object type (eg: all via1) under the currently visible markers?

I need this to change the gray colored metals to either color A or B.

I would be really grateful if you can suggest a way to automatically color every via that is generated by the automatic via generator, in which case I do not need the solution for the first question.

Thanks in advance,

Jinesh

If you're asking about Synopsys tools, you're asking in the wrong place (this is a forum for Cadence tools).

Not clear whether the second part of your question is relevant to Virtuoso or not - since you didn't say whether you were using Virtuoso Layout Suite and if so which version you're using.

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

    Thank you for the response.

I am using Virtuoso Layout XL and the version is ICADV12.3, for 7NM TSMC process.

When I generate a via between let's say - M1(Color A) and M3(Color A), I do not care about the gray color M1 and M3 because I already have colored metal enclosing the via. But the gray M2 causes a problem. I couldn't find an option to get a colored M2 in the Create Via GUI in Auto mode.

    Jinesh,

Given that we are restricted in talking about that technology (there needs to be an NDA in place) I'm not comfortable with discussing it in a public place (you should be cautious too). So please contact customer support as that's the right channel for this kind of question, especially where there are potentially sensitive technology questions involved.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
