Hi all

I am working on a layout design which needs a present layout to be ported to another  lower metal stack.

when i open the present layout which is at higher metal stack in lower metal stack library , the layers which are not common are dropped.

How do we port layout if if have such requirement.

I am planning to have script for this.

Has anybody worked on this earlier.

Regards

    Hi Vinutha,

Note that the layers are not "dropped". The data is still in the database - it's just that you can't see it because the layer-purpose pairs are not defined in the technology library. In the actual database, the shapes are stored using the layer and purpose numbers - so you'd still find them using the original layer number and purpose numbers - so you can still find those shapes and move them onto a different layer-purpose (if necessary) or delete them if you really don't want them (for example).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
