how to identify spectre simulator version from SKILL?

Hi there,

How can I identify the version of spectre simulator ?

IC version >= 6.1.5

Assumption is the simulator is sent (session loaded in ADE-L).

The only thing that I have in mind is to call the external command "spectre -W" and to parse the output.

BR,

Marcel

    Hi Marcel,

    I don't think there's any public (or even private) function that provides that. Most of the stuff in ADE that is version-specific uses a capability called "feature files" which are picked up from the spectre/AMS simulators that are in the path, and then use that to determine whether particular features in the simulators are available or not - so they don't need to know version numbers.

    So probably using the approach you suggest is the sensible option.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
