Preserving color when flattening

Suppose I have an instance with the mask1Color locked property on some shapes.

I do not see an option to leFlattenInst() (or in the GUI) to preserve said property.

Can/should this be added some day?

    Tom,

There's no option to do this because it does it anyway without an option. It's mentioned in the documentation for dbFlattenInst/dbFlattenInst2 and leFlattenInst.

BTW, asking for something to be added in the forums isn't really the right place to do it - you should always do that through customer support. Not needed in this case though, I think.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

Thank you, Andrew. I am embarrassed that I did not check the documentation first.  (I made the mistake of trusting secondhand information, in spite of Ian Malcolm's famous quote, "people are full of misinformation.")

    It won't happen again.

    Quite right.

    Tom,

Don't worry - I also assumed that there'd be an option for it, and then did a bit of time searching through requests until I found a CCR which asked for the documentation to be updated. Only then did I read the manual. So it's me as well!

    Regards,

    Andrew
