Save and Recreate TrackPattern

Hi,

i would like to know if it is possible to save trackPatterns from one cellview and copy/recreate them in another cell view.

I found the skill scripts that are provided by cadence (such as CCSsaveTrackPatterns.il CCScopyTrackPatterns.il), unfortunately they do not restore/save all attributes (such as trackPattern width for example).

From the skill reference i was not able to determine how to access the additional attributes currently not handled by the scripts...so how could it be done?

Best regards,

Markus

    Hi Markus,

Unfortunately SKILL support for the Advanced Node features of Track Patterns is a bit lacking (there are a handful of functions, but nothing that returns the width). In general we'd say that Width Spacing Patterns (WSPs) are the preferred approach now, so you really should use those - these have a much richer set of APIs. Even in the documentation, the use of track patterns for Advanced Node barely mentions using the width (talks about color patterns, but not really much about the widths).

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

thanks for your answer. I already thought that WSPs might be the preferred approach now - unfortunately use of WSPs is not possible without additional licenses...

    Best regards,

    Markus
