dX/dY by form entry

Dear all,

I have a habit to move/copy shape to a distance by entering number in dX/dY field in the tool bar, with the help of pressing "Tab" button a few times.

I think it is not efficient enough.

Is there any other ways to do this?

e.g. invoke a form to set dX/dY value.

Any comment is much appreciated.

Thank you very much

Will

    Hi Will,

I don't see why that shouldn't be efficient enough - I mean you type the 'm' bindkey, then three times tab and you are in the field for dX....alternatively you left click in the dX field if you don't like the three tabs. And yes - you might pop up a form instead where you collect dX and dY (I can do that for you if you want...) but do you really think this is any quicker?

You can also use the shift-N bindkey (bound to leGetCoordinateForm()) to do this.

    Andrew,

I wish Cadence had done something better than the present solutions. I have made a toolbar for Stretch/Copy with L/R/T/B directions for given distance and also an option to repeat them 'n' times.

    Hi Ramakrishnan,

It would be really appreciated if you could share the SKILL code with us.

    Thank you very much

    Hi Will Tang,

Apologies. I cannot share the code outside my organization. I can guide you to create a similar one.  I created a toolbar using Layout.toolbars file which is much simpler and needs less coding. In the callback I created a replay file where are the actions for cadence copy and stretch are written and then passed that file to hiReplayFile() procedure.
