plot Text content in waveform

hello export,

is there a way to manipulate the ViVa waveform plotting so that it could display some text content in the waveform, e.g., telling the phase / step / function at specific time duration?

thanks,

David

just example of SystemVerilog (enum data type) and waveform viewer (SimVision) can show such Texted plotting. Would like to see if VerilogA and ViVa viewer could do the similar thing (not have to be enum, just anything works). thanks, David

    Hi David,

Thanks for showing the picture - I had no idea what you meant before seeing that.

There is no support for mnemonic maps in ViVA. I found a recent enhancement request (from only 3 months ago) asking for this (CCR 1875219). I've not found any other requests for it though.

I suggest if you want this, you contact customer support and ask for a duplicate to be filed on your behalf (please mention the CCR number above).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
