Get selected category in Library Manager

Hi !

I was hoping that ddsGetLibManLCV() would also provide the selected category. unfortunately it does not.

Is there a command that returns the category that is currently selected ?

Many thanks

Faisal

    Hi Faisal,

No, there's nothing that does this.

However, maybe you can approach the problem in a different way? If you customise the library manager (covered in the Customizing the Library Manager section of the Cadence Library Manager User Guide and in the Library Manager Functions section of the Cadence Application Infrastructure SKILL Reference (the second gives the details of the functions available, and some rather elderly examples with a prefix you may recognise ;-) ) then the callback functions get passed the currently selected lib/cell/view/file/category. So you could add a custom menu and even popup menu item in the library manager which triggers your code based on what you've selected.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
