Hi,

Is there any way to access the shapes in lower hierarchies and transform them to current hierarchy using SKILL

Thanks,

Raghu

    Hi Raghu,

    Yes. I suggest you search in the forums for dbConcatTransform - there are a number of threads asking similar questions. You can use the inst~>transform as the argument on each level of hierarchy, and concatenate the transformation at each level, and then use dbTransformPoint, dbTransformPointList or dbTransformBBox to do the transformation.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hi Raghu,

    Something like this.

     cb = centerBox(css()~>bBox) ; shape's centerbox in lower hierarchies.
     inst_transform = css()~>transform ;instance in current hierarchy
     location = dbTransformPoint(cb inst_transform) ;location of shape in lower hierachy to the current hierarchy.

    Hope this help.

    Best regards,

    Marben
