Hi,

I want to disable auto-generation of thumbnails in .cdsinit , but it does not work. I put the following setting into .cdsinit file.

envSetVal("ui.thumbnails" "enable" 'boolean t)

envSetVal("ui.thumbnails" "generate" 'boolean t)

I want to know how to set these variables in .cdsinit.

    Hi,

These env vars impact the library manager thus they must reside in the appropriate .cdsenv file and should not be defined via .cdsinit.

To disable the auto-generation of thumbnails you need to add to .cdsenv:

    ui.thumbnails generate boolean nil

To disable displaying and generating thumbnails you need to add the following command to the .cdsenv - enable variable overrides the settings in generate variable so setting enable to nil is enough:

    ui.thumbnails enable boolean nil

    Regards,

    Dimitra
