Plot GUI

Dear Cadence Family,

I am making a GUI using Skill programming. I wish to ask if there is a way to plot certain curves into a window within GUI?

How can i define a certain form for the plot area? and then use its identifier to plot the curves?

Haris,

This is not possible. There are some very low level "display list" functions which can be used for general purpose drawing, but you can't really embed those in a form (plus you'd have to do all the graph plotting work yourself). If you're expecting to plot using the ViVA functionality and have that embedded in a form, that's certainly not possible.

I guess what you talk about is a canvas where you can draw...I don't think something like that exists in SKILL's "hi" interface

Hi,
If you can get the plot using gnuplot and save the image. Then you can try this.

plotIcon=hiLoadImageFile(simplifyFilename("plot.jpg") 100 100)

plotLabel=hiCreateLabel(?name 'a ?labelText "Could not load image" ?labelIcon plotIcon)

hiDisplayForm(hiCreateAppForm(?name 'myForm ?fields list(list(plotLabel 0:0 100:100)) ))
