Check Area and Density for specific cell

Hi all,

I am finding a Area and Density in my Active window using this command.

leComputeAreaDensity(hiGetCurrentWindow() list(list(list("M1" "drawing"))) ?depth 31 ).

but here I need to give window ID as given hiGetCurrentWindow().

Is it possible to do same thing for specific cells: eg "libname" "cellname".

I have a celllist here like this :

libname       cellname

"test"           "DM1"

"test"           "DM2"

anyone having Idea on this ?

Thanks,

Mahesh

    Hi Mahesh,

    There's no function to do this which accepts a cellView id (or a lib/cell/view name). So the only way to do this is to (say) call geOpen for each lib/cell/view combination and pass the return value of that function (which is a window id) to leComputeAreaDensity. It seems a reasonable enhancement request that we have a non-UI based function to do this, so I suggest you contact customer support so that an enhancement request can be filed with R&D. Actually, I just checked - there's an existing CCR, 1424262, asking for this - would be worth you contacting support so that a duplicate can be filed (this increases the likelihood of it being done sooner).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
