Changes made in skill script is not reflecting in CIW

Changes made in SKILL script is not reflecting after loading it in CIW as

load "/home/script/joinPath.il"

But the changes are reflecting if I copy & paste the script content in CIW.

Please give any solution or suggestion for this issue.

This seems highly unlikely - did you save the file? Are you giving the right path to the file? Can you post the contents of the script in case there is something special in there which requires sequential running in the CIW rather than a normal bit of SKILL code?

    Hi Andtrew,

Yes, I saved the file & I'm loading the right path.

Actually all of my team members are facing the same issue for all scripts.

I cannot see how this can happen - it's pretty fundamental and I've not seen this happen other than by user error. The only things I can think of is whether there were errors in the code and you have errors turned off in the log filters. One other (probably unlikely) possibility is if the changes are being made on one machine and NFS is not updating the file on the machine you're running virtuoso (doing a cat of the file on the same machine that you're running virtuoso would make it clear if that was the case). If so, that would be a problem with your UNIX infrastructure - although, as I said, it's fairly unlikely.

Since you've not provided any data, all I can suggest is to contact support.cadence.com - then an application engineer can have a webex with you and take a look to try to figure out what is wrong in your environment or what you're doing incorrectly.

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew.

One observation that I can share is that I've seen this sometimes if the script was also open in the SKILL IDE (Debugger) window - once the window was closed the 'load' of the updated file would take effect.   However, if all your colleagues are seeing this for all scripts it seems unlikely that using the debugger would be the cause.

Good point Lawrence - although I would have expected in that case they would have thought to press the reload button in the IDE. I've hit that a few times (it's a bit annoying, I agree). Worth mentioning though, nevertheless just in case anyone else ever hits it.

    Andrew.
