Change defaults of Qt-subapplication form

Hi all,

I would like to re-define the defaults of the Qt-subapplication when printing waveforms to file. The manual indicates that these defaults are controlled by the LC_ALL environment variable, but I can't find any reference on how to set this variable to do what I want. Especifically, this is how the form looks now:

How do I make it use a custom size defined by me with a landscape orientation and different margins by default? It's pretty annoying and time consuming to have to change the aspect ratio of the waveforms every single time I need to print a file.

Regards,

Lewis

    Hi Lewis,

You can't currently. The documentation is a bit unclear on this - what it's trying to say is that the locale settings (e.g. LC_ALL, LC_PAPER) can influence the default paper page size (e.g. A4 or US Letter), although I couldn't make it work. I found a couple of places where it suggested unsetting LC_ALL if the paper size was not what you expected, but by changing LC_ALL to (say) en_GB I couldn't get it to show A4. However, even if this worked, it doesn't give the fine-grained support you want.

There's an enhancement CCR (with a number of duplicates), 965029, which asks for control over the defaults. You should contact customer support and request that a duplicate is filed on your behalf which will help prioritise this.

By the way, the form is correctly named "Printer Properties" in IC618 rather than the default Qt-subapplication.

    Regards

    Andrew.

    Bummer,

For sure I'll request a duplicate of the enhancement request you mentioned. Thanks a lot Andrew.

    Regards,

    Lewis.
